As a Backend AI Engineer you will be part of the team of the AI Team.

- Design and implement AI-driven features that solve real payment problems at scale
- Own the full lifecycle of AI initiatives: from evaluating models and prototyping solutions to deploying and monitoring them in production
- Work across technical and business teams to identify opportunities where AI can create value
- Navigate the rapidly evolving AI landscape and make strategic technology decisions
Minimum Qualifications
- Proficiency in Python for AI/ML development
- Strong understanding of AI strategy: when to use RAG vs fine-tuning vs few-shot learning and how to select models
- Hands-on experience integrating LLMs into production systems (OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar)
- Experience with prompt engineering, AI orchestration frameworks, and managing model outputs
- Understanding of AI-specific challenges: evaluation metrics, monitoring, hallucination mitigation
- Ability to communicate technical decisions clearly to diverse audiences
- Fluency in English
- Proficiency in Go (major advantage for our tech stack)
- Experience in the fintech or payment industry
- Knowledge of data pipelines and Postgres
- Experience with model fine-tuning or training
- Knowledge of vector databases and embeddings
- Fluency in Spanish
