Leonardo Belgium is seeking a User Experience (UX/UI) Specialist to support a prestigious European institution in Brussels within its Corporate Learning and Development division. You will join a multidisciplinary team shaping modern digital learning experiences for a global diplomatic and institutional audience.
This position focuses on designing engaging user interfaces for e-learning modules, developing visual identities for corporate training programmes, and ensuring a consistent and inclusive learning experience across multiple platforms.

As a User Experience (UX/UI) Specialist, you will collaborate closely with Learning and Development teams and web content managers to create engaging user interfaces for e-learning courses and digital training platforms. Your role will also extend to providing visual identity support and graphical content development across various training programs.
Reporting to the Head of Sector, you will:
- Design and implement modern, intuitive user interfaces for e-learning modules published on institutional LMS platforms (e.g., Moodle, EU-Learn).
- Develop and update visual identities for core and emerging training programmes, including high-visibility corporate and diplomatic learning initiatives.
- Support the design and usability of the Learning Centre (Drupal CMS) and collaborate with web and intranet administrators to enhance user experience.
- Contribute to rebranding and visual enhancement of existing learning materials and campaigns, both digital and print (e.g., banners, brochures, newsletters).
- Provide support for video content creation and post-production, including closed-caption preparation to ensure accessibility compliance.
- Train and mentor colleagues in the use of graphical tools and user-interface standards.
- Participate in technical improvement meetings and propose usability or design enhancements.
- Research, create, and manage images, infographics, and illustrations for publications, ensuring compliance with copyright and branding policies.
- Maintain a documentation repository (OpenText or equivalent) of all visual design work and interface assets.
- Contribute proactively to all Corporate Learning & Development activities within the division.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in user interface design and implementation for e-learning or digital learning environments;
- Proven experience in visual identity development for institutional or corporate communication campaigns (digital and print);
- Experience with brand refresh projects for long-term training programs;
- Experience working with CMS and LMS systems (e.g., Drupal, Moodle, EU-Learn, or equivalent).
Hard Skills
- Excellent command of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere) or equivalent UI design tools;
- Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, ServiceNow) and Microsoft Office applications;
- Strong understanding of user experience principles, accessibility standards, and responsive design;
- Experience in video post-production and multimedia editing is an asset;
- Ability to create clear, structured, and visually appealing documentation and templates.
Soft Skills
- Creative mindset with strong attention to detail and visual coherence;
- Service-oriented, flexible, and pragmatic, with a problem-solving approach;
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English (both oral and written);
