Software Competence & Technology Lead

As a Software Competence & Technology Lead, you will strengthen software capabilities of Innokas by developing team expertise, guiding technology strategy, supporting customer deliveries, and contributing to solution design and supporting in sales. You’ll combine a strong technical foundation with a passion for mentoring and collaboration — helping our teams deliver high-quality, compliant, and future-ready software solutions.

The position is based in Espoo or in Kempele.

Your main responsibilities:

• Foster the technical growth of software teams and ensure continuous skill advancement
• Guide architectural decisions, technology selections, and adoption of modern development practices
• Ensure technical quality, scalability, and compliance in customer deliveries
• Contribute to quotations through solution design, workload estimation, and technical proposal input
• Advise customers on technology strategies, regulatory considerations, and long-term solution sustainability
• Support hiring and onboarding of new software professionals to strengthen team capability
• Represent Innokas in professional and technical forums, sharing expertise and promoting company capabilities

What we expect from you:

• Degree in engineering (e.g., B.Sc./M.Sc.) or equivalent experience
• 8+ years of experience in software development within regulated or high-technology industries (e.g., MedTech, industrial automation, embedded systems)
• Proven track record in leading software projects or teams, from concept to delivery, in customer-facing environments
• Strong understanding of modern software development practices, architectures, and cloud or embedded technologies
• Experience in mentoring or developing engineering competencies within an organization
• Familiarity with regulatory and quality requirements for software development (e.g., IEC 62304, ISO 13485, or similar frameworks)
• Ability to support sales with technical expertise, including solution design, effort estimation, and proposal creation
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in English
