Senior DevOps Engineer – Payments | CI/CD, Jenkins, Cloud, Automation, Monitoring

We’re hiring a Senior DevOps Engineer to join the platform engineering team of a leading global payments company. This is a unique opportunity to work on high-performance, high-availability systems, building automation and deployment pipelines that power millions of transactions daily.

In this role, you’ll lead the development lifecycle, driving automation, scalability, and reliability. You’ll design and implement CI/CD pipelines, manage release processes, and ensure seamless deployments across environments, helping to deliver innovative products at speed and scale.

What You’ll Bring:

• Strong experience with CI/CD tools such as Git/Bitbucket, Jenkins, Maven, and Artifactory
• Proficiency in scripting and development with Java and Groovy
• Expertise in release automation, version control, and environment management
• Experience integrating performance, regression, and contract testing into pipelines (JMeter, BlazeMeter, LoadRunner, etc.)
• Hands-on knowledge of infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Chef)
• Cloud platform experience (Pivotal Cloud Foundry or similar)
• Familiarity with monitoring and log analytics (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Domo, etc.)
• Exposure to security and compliance tools such as Blackduck and Checkmarx
• Strong collaboration skills—able to work closely with development, QA, and support teams
• A proactive mindset, with the ability to take ownership, prioritise effectively, and drive improvements
