Senior back-end Java developer

We are a Dutch recruitment agency based in Netherlands and we are preferred suppliers to big organizations here.

For one of our giant client based in Utrecht we are looking for a Senior Java Developer with hands on experience.

36- 40 hours

2 - 3 year project

Hybrid (1-2 days per week onsite)

The project:

Within the Scrum team, you will be involved in every step of the process. Together with the team, you'll create designs for distributed systems and implement the solutions. You'll work on a fully automated CI/CD process: from building and testing artifacts to deploying them to production and monitoring services. Together with your team, you'll be responsible for delivering the agreed-upon functionality on time and to a high standard in two-week sprints. This is all done in collaboration with your stakeholders. We also encourage you to contribute your own ideas for improvements and to help shape changes. Experimentation is encouraged. As a team, we'll refine the technical solutions together, conducting technical POCs for this purpose. In addition, there's a quarterly Innovation & Planning sprint where no functional work is scheduled, allowing you to work on innovations.

Skillset:

• You have experience with Java 11 or later.
• You have experience with relational databases and query optimization.
• You have experience with event-driven architecture and concepts such as eventual consistency.
• You have experience with DevOps (mindset and tools).
• You have experience with Spring Boot.
• You have experience with Openshift (Kubernetes).
• You have experience with Jenkins / CI tools.
• We consider experience with Kotlin to be a plus.
• We consider experience with functional programming to be an advantage.
• We consider experience with Gradle to be an advantage.
• We consider experience with ActiveMQ to be an advantage.
• We consider experience with tools such as Grafana and Prometheus an advantage.
• We consider experience with Domain Driven Design and Hexagonal Architecture an advantage.

Interview process:

• One technical interview (60 min Teams chat) and one softs skills (20 mins)
