To manage the implementation of Community Development Council’s Jobs Nearby @ CDC initiative and related programmes in the district, connecting residents with employment opportunities and community services through targeted outreach, stakeholder partnerships, and programme coordination.
[What you will be working on]
Key duties and responsibilities that need to be performed to meet the primary objective of the job. This will include the important result areas (what) along with the rationale (why).
- Support Job Ambassadors in their daily operations at job clinics by providing operational assistance and coordination.
- Support the delivery of capability-building sessions for Job Ambassadors to provide high-touch job assistance.
- Implement outreach plans to increase CDC awareness and participation in job advisory services.
- Liaise and maintain partnerships with employers, merchants, Small Medium Enterprise (SMEs), training providers, grassroots, and community partners.
- Process and manage case referrals and queries from the public, inter-agency partners, and Grassroots Advisers, ensuring timely resolution and appropriate support.
- Track job placement outcomes and assist Job Ambassadors with job-matching activities and strategies.
- Gather feedback and insights from Job Ambassadors and stakeholders to support programme refinements and improvements.
- Manage and track data of residents served, job referrals, and placement targets for reporting.
- Partner with relevant stakeholders in district-wide career events and upskilling workshops.
Other ad-hoc duties not covered under main responsibilities and duties.
- Task Forces/Committees as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Knowledge in outreach, career and skills advisory, community engagement, HR/recruitment, or workforce development.
- Knowledge of 2nd language (e.g. Mandarin, Malay, Tamil or dialects) to effectively engage with diverse residents in the community.
- Coaching and/or facilitation certification would be desirable.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong team player and self-starter
- Familiarity with employment trends, workforce policies, and training ecosystem in Singapore.
