C/C++ Engineer | $200k/year Remote

Position: Backend Engineering Specialist (Full Time)

Type: Hourly Contract

Compensation: $90k-$200k/per year

Location: Remote or in-person

Schedule: 9:00am–5:30pm PST for the first two weeks; then aligned with your local time zone

Role Overview

• Curate advanced coding datasets and benchmark model outputs to improve AI understanding of programming practices
• Collaborate with engineering teams to teach AI models human coding techniques including writing, debugging, and optimizing code
• Annotate and evaluate AI-generated code across languages to ensure efficiency, scalability, and enterprise-level quality
• Provide text, voice, or video data and feedback to help models learn from human expertise

Key Responsibilities (Training support will be provided)

• Curate and correct code examples in Python, JavaScript (ReactJS), C/C++, Java, Rust, and Go
• Assess and refine AI outputs for adherence to programming efficiency and reliability standards
• Collaborate cross-functionally to enhance AI-driven coding tools and benchmark large language model performance
• Improve annotation tools and data workflows to bolster training quality
• Design coding tasks that challenge AI’s technical reasoning and problem-solving ability

Ideal Qualifications

• Strong professional experience of back-end development experience
• Skilled in multiple server-side languages, notably Python and Node.js
• Expertise designing and implementing RESTful APIs and GraphQL endpoints
• Deep knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL systems (MongoDB, Redis)
• Strong understanding of database performance optimization and web security best practices
• Experience with asynchronous job processing and comprehensive test frameworks

Preferred Qualifications

• Detail-oriented with excellent logical reasoning and problem-solving skills
• Experience in containerization (e.g., Docker)
• Familiarity with front-end technologies such as TypeScript or React to aid cross-team collaboration
