Robert Half's client is seeking a Director of Technology to lead their technical strategy, infrastructure, and development initiatives. This individual will oversee the technology department, assist in building a skilled and experienced internal tech team, and manage all contracted development services, ensuring that all systems, applications, and platforms align with the company’s goals and support ongoing growth.


This is a 6 month contract-to-hire opportunity that will be 100% remote (but may require some travel to client's offices), working in the MST time zone.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive technology strategy aligned with client's business objectives, ensuring scalability and innovation across all platforms. Drive the development of a scalable digital ecosystem that enhances agility and supports future growth.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to determine the business requirements for IT systems, ensuring they meet current and future needs.
  • Oversee and lead the technology team, including developers, IT support, and third-party vendors. Hire, mentor, and manage technical staff as needed.
  • Oversee the development, improvement, and functionality of the client's website, ensuring seamless user experience and performance. Continuously enhance the site’s features, security, and scalability.
  • Build, manage, and maintain mobile applications, ensuring they meet business and user needs.
  • Ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of their technology infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, and cloud systems.
  • Direct and support the implementation of new software and hardware solutions that align with business goals and improve operational efficiency.
  • Identify and eliminate security vulnerabilities by implementing strategic solutions that increase data security and cybersecurity.
  • Manage the technology budget, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively and projects are delivered within budget constraints.
  • Oversee relationships with third-party tech vendors, ensuring service quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Ensure smooth IT operations, manage troubleshooting, and provide technical support for all internal systems and platforms.
  • Regularly report to the C-suite on the progress, implementation, and outcomes of technology initiatives.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in technology leadership roles, including team management, infrastructure oversight, and software development.
  • Experience in building, managing, and maintaining mobile applications and websites is a must.
  • Proven experience in determining business requirements for IT systems and implementing solutions.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing and delivering complex IT and digital products.
  • Strong strategic thinking combined with hands-on leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships with executive leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in designing and executing scalable digital solutions
  • Strong understanding of coding, web development, cybersecurity, and data security.
  • Strong project management skills with a focus on scalability and security.
  • Experience managing technical teams and third-party vendors.
