Job Description

This Staff SW Development Engineer role is crucial to our continued success, developing our apps and solutions to meet the needs of our expanding user population and partner ecosystem. Where You Come In
- You design and build iOS Apps and/or SDKs for medical devices, ensuring adherence to iOS platform guidelines.
- You collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- You develop automated unit and integration tests to maintain software reliability.
- You conduct thorough testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues.
- You participate in design, code, test case reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain code quality and consistency.
- You interface with software test teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality products.
- You prepare necessary documentation for SDK releases, such as release notes, sample apps and user guides.
- You will continuously explore and evaluate new technologies to improve development efficiency.
- You ensure reliability, performance, memory use, power consumption and security of the iOS applications, adhering to regulatory and quality standards.
- You mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.
- You have relevant experience in iOS app development, with a strong focus on Swift & SwiftUI.
- You have leadership experience
- You have proven track record of developing and delivering high-quality iOS applications.
- You have strong knowledge of iOS internals, iOS Bluetooth stack, BLE peripherals, offline storage, threading and performance tuning.
- You have passion for collaborative problem-solving, sophisticated design, and creating high-quality products.
- You are proficient in code versioning tools like Git and familiar with continuous integration.
- You have experience with RESTful APIs, data parsing, and integration of third-party libraries.
- You have experience with feature toggling tools (e.g., Launch Darkly) and analytics tools (e.g., Firebase Crashlytics, DataDog) is a plus.
- You have experience mentoring junior engineers.
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Your previous experience in the medical device industry or healthcare technology is a plus.
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, and a minimum of 8-12 years related experience or Master’s degree and 5-7 years equivalent industry experience or a PhD and 2-4 years of experience.
