We’ve partnered with a highly reputable bank that’s entering a new phase of digital transformation. They’re looking for an experienced Head of IT to lead the technology function, shape strategy, and ensure systems remain secure, modern, and fit for growth.

This is a strategic leadership role, overseeing infrastructure, applications, service delivery, and vendor management. A key part of the remit will be driving delivery through trusted technology partners while leading major transformation projects across core platforms and digital channels. You’ll work closely with senior leadership to ensure technology underpins business growth and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the IT function, setting strategic direction and ensuring alignment with business objectives
• Oversee infrastructure, applications, service delivery, and vendor relationships
• Drive transformation projects across core platforms, digital channels, and customer-facing technologies
• Ensure operational resilience, security, and regulatory compliance are embedded in all technology initiatives
• Partner with senior leadership to translate business goals into scalable, secure technology solutions
• Build and develop high-performing teams and foster strong collaboration with external partners

What we’re looking for:

• Senior IT leadership background gained in banking or a regulated financial services setting
• Strong grasp of governance, security and regulatory expectations
• Broad technical understanding across IT infrastructure, cloud and core banking platforms
• Experience with digital banking initiatives and modern cloud technologies
• Proven experience managing third-party technology partners and outsourced services
• Experience leading modernisation and transformation initiatives
• Confident communicator with strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills
