Why This Role Is Right for You

As a Technical Project Manager, you’ll join a collaborative and forward-thinking team based in MILAN.

You will join the DIGITAL ISSUING team driving projects and managing services that shape Nexi’s and our clients’ Digital Channels, focusing on innovative applications dedicated to end customers. Through these platforms, cardholders can seamlessly apply for, activate, and manage their payment cards, access services, and enjoy a secure and intuitive digital experience.

About Your Future Role

In this position, you will:

  • Work closely with developers and Digital Experience Designers (Apps, Websites, Backend solutions) to deliver high-quality digital channels.
  • Work with Nexi's internal business units and international clients to gather and translate business needs into actionable requirements.
  • Collaborate with Nexi’s IT departments (application owners, infrastructure, CISO, network) and external suppliers to ensure end-to-end integration and alignment.
  • Write detailed Functional Analysis for the digital issuing domain, including system interactions (Front-End, Orchestrators, Card Management), sequence diagrams/UML, and application monitoring requirements, with strong focus on security, privacy, and compliance (PCI DSS, PSD2).
  • Oversee mission-critical applications, including ticket handling and SLA management.
  • Manage project documentation, plans, budgets, and resource allocation across developers and testers.
  • Monitor, track, and control project outcomes, proactively resolving dependencies, issues, and critical path deliverables.

Essential Qualifications

  • Experience in writing functional analysis and usage of related tools (user stories writing, Jira, Confluence)
  • Familiarity with the management of mission-critical applications and related tools (e.g. Service Now)
  • Experience in budget management, resource allocation and planning
  • Good communication, verbal and written in Italian and English

Bonus Skills

  • Scrum certifications (Scrum master or Product Owner)
  • A degree in computer science/computer engineering/management engineering, or a related field is a plus.
