SMP Product Manager - Up to 165,000 RON + 20% Bonus (Not b2b) - Romania

The Service Management Platform (SMP) is a widely adopted software solution used by leading telecommunications providers globally. It supports tens of thousands of call centre agents and millions of subscribers, helping operators integrate complex backend systems into intuitive troubleshooting and diagnostic tools — accessible via self-service portals, agent consoles, and APIs.


The platform is now entering an exciting new phase, incorporating Generative and Agentic AI features to deliver cutting-edge capabilities and maintain a strong market position.

As a Product Manager, you’ll play a key role in leading the planning, execution, and delivery of new product features and enhancements. This includes conducting market research, defining product requirements, setting release timelines, pricing, and contributing to go-to-market strategies.


We’re looking for a commercially driven professional with strong ownership of P&L responsibilities — someone who can ensure product profitability while managing budgets and aligning with overall performance goals. You’ll collaborate closely with sales and marketing to ensure the product continues to meet evolving customer and market needs.

The ideal candidate will be proactive in understanding emerging technologies, monitoring competitor activity, and driving the next phase of product innovation and market success.


Main Responsibility Areas:

• Profit and loss management with autonomy to ensure product profitability and manage spending to achieve all product performance metrics.

• Manage, curate, and grow the global sales pipeline in collaboration with the sales organization.

• Gather market intelligence and conduct competitive research — identifying customer problems and understanding what drives value for them.

• Clearly communicate to customers why the solution platform is the best choice for evolving their customer care, provisioning, integration, and orchestration solutions.

• Create and develop compelling content and sales enablement collateral, including battle cards, demos, presentations, training materials, and one-pagers.

• Educate sales and customer-facing teams on market challenges, trends, and how the SMP platform empowers operators to address each of them.

• Support product marketing in both internal and external communications by building and maintaining communication channels such as blogs, newsletters, webinars, and customer forums.

• Engage directly with customers — joining meetings to hear firsthand what they expect from the platform and how it can evolve to meet their needs.

• Contribute to thought leadership initiatives to position the platform as a leader in telecom customer care.

• Collaborate with R&D teams to deliver high-quality product releases.

• Determine product pricing through market research, production and sales cost reviews, volume forecasting, and evaluation of custom orders. Maintain product catalog and price book.

• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in relevant professional societies.


Key Skills & Competencies:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering.

• Business degree is a plus.

• 4+ years of professional experience in product management.

• Experience in one or more of the following domains:

- Defining AI-enabled product features, Generative AI (prompt engineering, RAG), Agentic AI (MCP, A2A), AI-assisted software development.

- Call center business and customer care tooling (assisted care, self-service, IVR, chatbot/AI, call center metrics, VoC, etc.).

- Fixed and mobile telecom services and device management (5G, Fiber, Cable, FWA, TR-069, TR-369/USP, LWM2M, MQTT, OMA-DM, etc.).


• Solid understanding of IT topics, networks, cloud, and Kubernetes.

• Experience working in an Agile software team and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).

• Willingness to travel extensively, engage with customers, and apply past experience to shape future innovation.

• Excellent communication skills — able to present complex technical and business topics to senior audiences both virtually and in person.

• Self-motivated, calm, and consistent under pressure.

• Takes initiative and accountability to ensure actions are completed and deadlines are met.

• Strong attention to detail with a results-oriented mindset.
