Senior Software Engineer

Yatala, Queensland - On-site

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate within the software engineering team to deliver innovative products and services.
Serve as a Responsible Engineer for flight software, conducting technical assessments, concept studies, and COTS solution analyses.
Lead small product teams on a quarterly basis, contributing to development and setting qualification standards.
Fulfill the role of Technical Authority on behalf of the Chief Engineer as needed.
Support architecture development, technology strategy execution, and R&D initiatives.

Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in embedded software design engineering.
3+ years of end-to-end embedded software product development experience.
NV1 Security Clearance eligibility.
Proficiency in C/C++ and Python, with experience in baremetal, RTOS, FPGA (VHDL/Verilog), and embedded Linux development.
Familiarity with aerospace software engineering standards (e.g., DO-178C), rigorous documentation, testing, and debugging tools.
Experience in DevOps, including CI/CD processes, infrastructure management, and Git workflows.

Salary

They offer an excellent salary package: $101,000 - $150,000 + Super.

Location

The client is based in Yatala, Queensland - Full time in office
