About Bioscout

BioScout has developed the world’s first automated system for detecting airborne crop disease using daily spore sampling and analysis. Already deployed across Australia and now rolling out across Europe and Latin America, it provides farmers with earlier insight into disease presence, helping to reduce crop losses, limit chemical use, and support more sustainable farming practices.

The system combines environmental sampling, microscopy, and data analytics to reveal the invisible. With demand growing, we’re scaling up, entering new markets and expanding our user base.

What you’ll be doing

• Help build and maintain our REST APIs in C#/.NET
• Contribute to React + TypeScript applications used internally and by customers
• Work on improvements across the stack
• Write clean, testable code with support from senior team members
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and team rituals
• Collaborate with engineers across firmware, data, and hardware

This role is ideal for someone early in their career who wants broad exposure to modern full-stack development and the chance to grow quickly in a supportive engineering team.

We’re looking for someone who has

• Passion for solving real-world problems with tech
• Solid understanding of software fundamentals (data structures, APIs, HTTP, Git)
• Curious mindset and eagerness to learn new tools and technologies
• Good communication skills and a collaborative attitude
• Experience in OOP (preferrably C#)
• Experience with React
• Practical experience with SQL databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MySQL)

Bonus Points

Not essential, but highly regarded:

• Experience with Entity Framework
• Experience with dotnet core
• Experience with Typescript
• Experience with cloud technologies
