As Growth & Business Development Manager at VTTI, you will be at the heart of shaping and accelerating growth initiatives across our global terminal network, identifying and developing new opportunities aligned with VTTI’s growth and energy transition ambitions.


This is a hands-on, strategic role focused on turning opportunities into tangible business results. You will work closely with local commercial teams, technical experts, and senior management to ensure initiatives are well-structured, commercially robust, and effectively executed.

Your Role as Growth & Business Development Manager

In this high-impact senior role, you will strengthen and accelerate the execution of VTTI’s strategic growth agenda. You will act as a key link between central functions and local terminal teams, bringing structure, consistency, and pace to our commercial pipeline.

Working closely with local commercial managers and other functions, you will help in turning strategy into execution, by ensuring that business cases are well-defined, strategically sound, and ready for decision-making.


Key Accountabilities

  • Cooperate with local commercial managers to originate and develop strategic growth opportunities, infrastructure upgrades and terminal expansions.
  • Review and enhance commercial business cases, ensuring sound commercial structuring, financial modeling and risk assessment.
  • Provide commercial leadership in negotiations, ensuring alignment with VTTI’s long-term strategic goals.
  • Work closely with technical teams to ensure commercial and technical alignment to seamlessly progress projects
  • Monitor commercial progress of growth initiatives, identify risks or delays, and ensure corrective actions are taken.
  • Prepare and validate clear, consistent materials for internal decision taking
  • Represent the commercial function in project steering committees, ensuring commercial accountability and delivery of milestones.
  • Track relevant market trends and proactively identify partnerships and opportunities that align with VTTI’s growth agenda.


Who Are We Looking For?

You are a strategic commercial who thrives on turning opportunities into actions. You bring a proven ability to shape, guide and drive growth initiatives. You combine strategic commercial vision with a hands-on approach to execution, and bring the credibility to align and influence senior stakeholders across diverse teams and geographies.


Your Background

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in business development, strategy, or commercial roles within the energy business or related international corporations.
  • Master’s degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field.
  • Proven track record in originating and developing large-scale projects or partnerships.
  • Strong understanding of financial modeling, risk assessment, and market analysis.
  • Experience in the energy infrastructure business is a plus
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills with experience advising senior leadership.
  • Fluent in English; Dutch is an advantage.
