EC Markets is a globally recognised financial brokerage, committed to delivering advanced FX and CFD trading services. As part of our expanding Dubai team, EC Markets seeks a HR Generalist to lead end-to-end HR operations, maintain compliance with UAE labour law, and support business growth.
About the Role
The HR Generalist provides comprehensive HR support across recruitment, onboarding, employee lifecycle, performance, compliance, HR documentation, and employee relations—ensuring operational excellence and legal compliance within UAE regulations.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all HR activities are fully compliant with current UAE Labour Law and DMCC regulations, including employment contracts, terminations, and workplace policies.
- Lead and manage the recruitment and onboarding process for all new employees, coordinating job advertisements, interviews, background checks, offer letters, and government processes for visas, medicals, and Emirates ID.
- Administer HRIS platforms and payroll systems, guaranteeing accurate data entry, salary processing, WPS compliance, and employee benefits management.
- Maintain detailed HR documentation, digital and physical files, and data management systems, ensuring records are secure, compliant, and up-to-date.
- Oversee performance management and leave tracking, facilitating probation reviews, annual appraisals, and all statutory and discretionary leave categories as per UAE law.
- Produce HR analytics and reporting such as headcount, turnover, absence, and diversity metrics for leadership review and legal requirements.
- Facilitate positive employee relations, mediate conflict, support workforce engagement initiatives, handle grievances, and ensure fair and transparent disciplinary processes.
- Provide guidance to staff and management on all HR policies and workplace issues—acting as the primary point of contact for questions regarding rights, benefits, and obligations.
- Support continuous improvement of HR procedures and drive adoption of best practices across the business.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- At least 3–5 years in an HR generalist role, preferably in the UAE or GCC.
Required Skills
- In-depth knowledge of current UAE Labour Law, free zone rules, and statutory reporting obligations.
- Proven experience with recruitment and onboarding processes.
- Working proficiency with HRIS, payroll systems, and advanced Excel or similar spreadsheets.
- Exceptional skills in maintaining HR documentation and data management systems.
- Solid understanding of employee relations, conflict resolution, and mediation best practices.
- Experience in HR analytics and reporting for regulatory and management use.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Professional English proficiency required; additional languages (especially Arabic or Mandarin) beneficial.

- Background in financial services or regulated markets.
- Experience with HR function set-up in new Dubai operations or rapid-growth environments.
- Commitment to continuous self-development and HR process improvement.
