Job SummaryThe IT Project Manager III - Infrastructure will lead the planning, coordination, and execution of complex infrastructure projects for a top-tier Canadian financial institution. This role oversees all aspects of project delivery — from defining scope and timelines to engaging cross-functional infrastructure personnel and ensuring successful deployment.The successful candidate will manage multiple large-scale projects, coordinate with executive stakeholders, and ensure alignment between business and technology teams. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.Key Responsibilities
  • Manage end-to-end infrastructure deliverables, schedules, and timelines.
  • Define project scope, objectives, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Lead infrastructure teams through planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery phases.
  • Coordinate resource allocation, budget planning, and milestone tracking.
  • Engage with internal teams and service providers to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Oversee documentation of project requirements, risks, and issues.
  • Utilize ServiceNow and Jira for project tracking, maintenance, and issue management.
  • Conduct regular project reviews, ensuring adherence to governance standards and methodologies.
  • Identify risks, develop mitigation plans, and escalate issues to executive leadership when necessary.
  • Provide clear communication to business partners, leadership, and project teams.
  • Promote project governance, quality assurance, and operational readiness.
  • Manage teams of up to 50-100 personnel, depending on project scope.
Required Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT project management, with a focus on infrastructure projects.
  • Proven experience leading large, cross-functional technical projects.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL and PMI methodologies.
  • Experience using ServiceNow, Jira, and Microsoft Project for project tracking and reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, resources, and stakeholder relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with executive-level presence.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PMP or Scrum Master certification.
  • Prior experience working with Bank or within financial services institutions.
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure systems, cloud environments, and network delivery frameworks.
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills for senior stakeholder communication.
