You will work as part of a team that develops and improves our existing, custom business web-based software. The software you develop will drive company efficiency by streamlining and automating existing processes. This is a startup-like position that requires the determination to learn processes quickly and also demands flexibility and adaptability to work on multiple projects across departments.

The Entry-Level Software Developer Will
- Expand and refine their skill set in PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, HTML, and Embedded C.
- Maintain, document, and enhance the company’s internal software suite with impactful new features.
- Attain advanced (potentially certification-level) proficiency in PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, and HTML.
- Strengthen and refine your debugging skills.
- Embrace DPS coding standards and department procedures.
- Complete and deploy 3 or more major projects that drive measurable impact across the DPS software suite.
- Strong proficiency in PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, HTML, and C
- Working knowledge of Arduino and/or Raspberry Pi
- Ability to type 45+ WPM
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Word and Excel)
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
- Previous professional experience is a plus
- Commitment to a results-driven mindset
- Flexibility and adaptability for multiple cross-departmental projects
- Strong oral and written communication skills
