The Senior Executive Officer role sits within the Office of the Deputy Director-General, Portfolio Governance and Executive Services. You will be responsible for providing high level, effective and confidential executive support in a fast-paced executive environment. You will manage the administrative functions of the Office of the Deputy Director-General, utilising your proven ability to arrange conflicting priorities while exercising judgement and discretion.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Ensuring high standards are maintained regarding the management of Ministerial and executive briefs, parliamentary documents and correspondence.
  • Managing diary and coordinating documents that are of a high standard, are fit for purpose and delivered within specified or agreed timeframes
  • Developing content which is complete, accurate and meets the standards of clarity and brevity consistent with procedures, set style guides and writing protocols.
  • Ensuring confidential and sensitive information is managed appropriately.
  • Developing, monitoring and evaluating systems and processes to ensure the effective management and workflow of ministerial and executive correspondence, reporting and responses.
  • Developing and maintaining positive communication and working relationships with officers throughout the division, including senior executives, and providing advice as and when required.
  • Maintaining effective relationships with the Director-General and Minister's offices and external agencies in relation to the timely provision of relevant executive and Ministerial documents
