DevOps Specialist

Job Title: DevOps Coach – Expert

Work Location: Montagne du Parc 3, 1000 Brussels, Belgium

Telework: 50% on site & 50% remote

Duration: 13 months

Function Description

Main Responsibilities:

• Coach squads to develop capabilities in software development, automated testing, deployment, and release management.
• Collaborate with tribe squads and other DevOps coaches to enhance delivery processes and practices.
• Stay up-to-date with industry standards, recommending relevant improvements and innovations.
• Analyze current practices, identify improvement areas, and build actionable plans focused on DevOps excellence.
• Provide coaching and training on key DevOps competencies, including:
• Software Craftsmanship
• Trunk-Based Development
• BDD/TDD (Behavior & Test-Driven Development)
• Test Automation
• CI/CD (Continuous Integration & Delivery)
• Value Stream Mapping
• Cloud, Kubernetes & Containerization
• Code Maintainability

Language Requirements

• English: Excellent written and spoken proficiency (mandatory)
• French: Knowledge is an asset
• Dutch: Knowledge is an asset

Education & Certification

• Education: Master’s degree or equivalent by experience
• Certifications (Preferred):
• DevOps Coach Certification
• Scaled Agile (SAFe, LeSS, etc.) Certification

Experience Requirements

• Minimum Experience: 6+ years of relevant experience

Technical Experience (Mandatory):

• Proven experience implementing continuous build, integration, and deployment systems.
• Expertise in software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Administration, setup, and maintenance of continuous build and integration platforms.
• Strong experience in Java development and build environments.
• Hands-on experience with:
• Source code repositories (GitLab)
• Artifact repositories (Nexus)
• Code scanning tools (Sonar, Fortify, NexusIQ, etc.)
• Containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)

Business Experience (Mandatory):

• Solid experience working in or with Agile development teams.
• Practical understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).
• Experience with Impact Mapping, Story Mapping, and Example Mapping techniques.

Travel: Not required

Workload: Full-time (50% on-site, 50% remote)
