Freelance Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) – Berlin (Hybrid)

We’re seeking an experienced Freelance CISO to lead and mature our information security and compliance programme across Europe. You’ll drive GDPR, ISO 27001, and risk management initiatives, ensuring a secure, audit-ready environment aligned with business goals.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and enhance our ISMS (ISO 27001).
• Advise executives on cybersecurity, data privacy, and risk.
• Oversee GDPR and regulatory compliance.
• Conduct risk assessments, audits, and incident response.
• Manage external auditors and vendors.
• Deliver security reports and awareness programmes.

What You Bring

• Proven experience as CISO / InfoSec Lead.
• Deep knowledge of ISO 27001, GDPR, NIS2, and risk frameworks.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Certifications (CISSP, CISM, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor) preferred.
• Fluent in English, German a plus.
