Role Description

We are looking for a lead VR/XR developer to help us deliver AA apps & games primarily for the Meta Quest platform, though we are also involved in mobile and web applications. This new hire will be leading an expanding development team and will be responsible for planning, managing and executing. This role is fantastic for a senior developer that wants to transition to a lead role as well as a lead that is looking for the next move in their career.

Requirements:

• Advanced proficiency in Unity and C# programming specifically as relates to VR & MR development
• Strong knowledge of OOP, SOLID and familiarity with Design Patterns
• Perform CPU, GPU and memory optimizations to ensure smooth performance on lower-spec devices like Quest 2.
• Hands-on experience with multiplayer networking frameworks (Photon, Netcode, or Mirror).
• Experience with Unity Addressables and CDN integration for asset management.
• Integrate and manage backend solutions using platforms like PlayFab and Firebase.
• Proficient in build/release systems and CI/CD systems, including Jenkins and Git.
• Utilize task management tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello) for efficient project tracking and collaboration.
• Familiarity with the full game development lifecycle and experience with published titles.
• Be familiar with the latest XR SDKs, including Meta XR, XR Interaction Toolkit (XRIT), VR Interaction Framework (VRIF), Auto Hand, and Hurricane VR.
• Be a smiley person

Big pluses:

• Experience with Unity Gaming Services (Remote Config, Unity Analytics etc.).
• Experience developing mixed reality applications.
• Expertly use Unity's Physics system for realistic simulations.
• Extensive knowledge of LiveOps and DevOps practices, including continuous delivery, deployment automation, infrastructure as code , containerization, orchestration tools, and monitoring solutions
• Have prior experience in team management
• Strong English skills
