The opportunity: Assistant Manager, Business Management – Permanent contract

What you will do:
Reporting to the Senior Business Manager, you will support the WCOO Luxembourg team across a range of responsibilities helping the Business to deliver its strategic and tactical goals, proactively responding to challenges in the local environment, challenging where necessary to ensure the continued viability and success of the business.
You will also help in the change and remediation activities driven by HSBC Group and locally. Furthermore, the role holder will work closely with the Regional/Global Functions ensuring that their goals are aligned with the business needs and that the services delivered are of requisite value.
In this role, you will (but not limited to):
- Actively support the Corporate and Institutional Banking Luxembourg in the formulation and implementation of their business strategy.
- Support multiple projects and lead some streams under the WCOO pillars (CAO, Data & Analytics, Client Services, Change Management, NFRO, BFCR, Third Party Management) and support local initiatives.
- Support to prepare MIs and Executive Committee presentations and meetings.
- Lead annual Regulatory submission exercises to CSSF (Complaints Report, PSD2…).
- Actively manage internal relationships within the team and relevant Global Functions (GFs) to support BAU processes and to deliver Strategic ‘change the bank’ initiatives.
You should apply if you have:
- Very good knowledge and experience of working in the Corporate and Institutional Banking industry with in-depth end-to-end understanding of business processes.
- Strong experience in working cross-functional role. High ability to connect with cross-functional teams/work in a matrix environment, functions and individuals.
- Strong understanding and experience of the risks facing businesses and corresponding risk mitigation strategies.
- End to end Project/Change Management and delivery experience/qualifications and history of success.
- Strong written and spoken communication skills in English. Any additional language(s) can be an asset.
