We are currently recruiting for a C Embedded Developer to join the Thales Alenia Space (TAS) division – the business unit dedicated to satellite development and space solutions. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the design and implementation of mission-critical embedded systems for space applications.

This role is available only in Bucharest, is a hybrid position and involves an employment contract (CIM).

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop software applications using standard tools and templates
• Assist in designing components for larger systems
• Create detailed technical documentation and specifications
• Implement backup, recovery, and restart procedures
• Share knowledge and provide guidance to less experienced colleagues
• Contribute to process improvements and propose best practices

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related field, or Bachelor’s Degree with relevant experience
• Proficiency in developing applications for Linux operating systems
• Solid understanding of internet communication protocols and routing
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, ClearCase, SVN)
• Ability to identify and suggest improvements to software development processes
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with CCSDS protocols and/or DVB-S2
• Familiarity with cloud technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Exposure to Agile methodologies and CI/CD workflows
• Strong software architecture and design skills
