Role Description

This is a Founding Frontend Engineer role — remote or full-time in New York City. You’ll own the front-end experience at Brew: designing, developing, and refining high-quality interfaces using Next.js, React, and TypeScript. You’ll work closely with the founders and the entire team (no silos) to ship interfaces that feel effortless and perform flawlessly. Expect to move fast, iterate often, and obsess over the details that make great products feel magical.

You’ll also talk directly with our customers every week — learning how they use Brew, gathering feedback, and shaping what we build next. This is a perfect role for someone who wants to start their own company one day.

What you'll do

• Build, refine, and ship beautiful user interfaces from low-fidelity ideas to polished production experiences
• Design frontend systems and components that scale — visually and technically
• Implement responsive layouts, smooth animations, and crisp interactions
• Optimize performance for speed and delight
• Talk with customers weekly for first-hand feedback and product insight
• Collaborate directly with founders and teammates across product, design, and engineering

Qualification

• Deep experience with Next.js, React, and TypeScript
• Strong grasp of Tailwind CSS or shadcn/ui
• Skilled in CSS animations, transitions, and layout techniques (Grid, Flexbox, etc.)
• Proven eye for design and detail — you notice and fix the 1px misalignments
• Experience with version control (Git) and modern build tools
• Portfolio or examples of shipped, production-quality front-end work
