Role Description

Kadima Commodity Intelligence is looking for a driven, entrepreneurial, and highly motivated Data Analyst (Founding Associate) to join our growing team.

Kadima is developing a next-generation market intelligence platform that aggregates and analyzes data across commodities, energy, and digital asset markets. You will play a key part in advancing business development, developing ongoing research, and supporting platform development and integration.

Core Responsibilities

Business Development

• Identify, engage, and onboard institutional and non-institutional clients, including commodity funds, family offices, and investors.

• Sales of research subscriptions, consulting projects, and our new proprietary intelligence platform access.

• Build and manage client relationships and strategic partnerships.

• Engage with market participants across commodity, energy, and digital asset supply chains.

Research & Development

• Collaborate with analysts to design and deliver advanced commodity market research.

• Enhance and utilize data models using Python, R, and API integrations.

• Incorporate macroeconomic, foreign policy, and geopolitical variables into market forecasts and scenario modeling.

• Analyze news, market data, and policy.

• Apply statistical learning, econometrics, and machine learning techniques to develop actionable insights.

• Contribute to proprietary analytical tool and model development to strengthen Kadima’s intelligence capabilities.

Marketing & Networking

• Represent Kadima at virtual and in-person industry events, forums, and conferences.

• Amplify brand visibility through newsletters, content creation, and social media engagement.

• Build and maintain a cross-sector network across mining, energy, finance, and digital assets.

Software & Platform Development

• Contribute to the design, architecture, and functionality of our new platform.

• Integrate and automate data flows from both public and strategic data sources. 

• Develop modular, maintainable code supporting dashboards, visualizations, and analytical tools.

• Collaborate with developers and analysts to improve data cleaning, transformation, and validation pipelines.

• Participate in the development of proprietary software applications for internal and client-facing use.

• Produce thought leadership and marketing content.

Qualifications

• Education or experience in commodity trading, mining, energy, crypto finance, commodity research, data science, or analytical sales.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
• Must enjoy working in a fast-paced, evolving environment that rewards creative problem-solving and entrepreneurial thinking.
• Fast learner and adaptable.
• Strong understanding of macroeconomic and geopolitical concepts.
• Proficiency in Python, R, API integration, and data visualization tools.
• Experience with data cleaning, preprocessing, and management capabilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Office 365.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and produce high-quality outputs.
• Entrepreneurial, analytical, and results-oriented mindset.
• Software development awareness: understanding of best practices for building maintainable, user-facing applications.
• Version control: experience with Git/GitHub for collaborative development.
• Familiarity with project management tools and processes.
• Experience with object-oriented and functional programming.

Nice to Have

• Experience with LLMs, NLP, or sentiment analysis to extract insights from policy reports, financial news, or alternative data.
• Experience developing dashboards in R and Python.
• Experience in web scraping and data automation.
• Familiarity with blockchain data, tokenized commodities, or on-chain analytics.
• Database experience: familiarity with SQL or NoSQL systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Cloud experience: familiarity with AWS, GCP, or Azure environments is an asset.
• Bonus if you have some experience in algorithmic trading.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

• Fluency in one or more of the following languages: French, Russian, German, Spanish, Hebrew, or Mandarin.

Compensation

• 100% commission-based, with earnings tied directly to client acquisition and revenue generation.
• Associates will receive equity compensation specifically linked to their contribution to the development and success of our proprietary platform. This equity is tied solely to the proprietary terminal development project, not the entire business.
