What's the Job?
We’re hiring a Network Engineer to join our IT Operations and Cybersecurity team. Reporting to the Director of IT Operations and Cybersecurity, you’ll be responsible for building and maintaining secure, scalable, and efficient network infrastructure that powers our business across Canada.
What You’ll Be Doing
The Network Engineer role is ideal for someone who’s passionate about modernizing networks, enabling seamless business connectivity, and collaborating across teams to deliver integrated solutions.

- Manage and troubleshoot network devices and infrastructure across all locations.
- Design and support Azure cloud networking.
- Lead network upgrades, migrations, and integration projects.
- Collaborate with IT teams and vendors; support escalations.
- Maintain documentation and ensure network security and performance.
Network Infrastructure Management
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and cloud networks.
- Define and enforce network policies and procedures across corporate and field locations.
- Monitor network performance, availability, and reliability.
- Implement security measures in coordination with the Cybersecurity team.
- Support remote and field operations with network setup and optimization.
- Maintain accurate documentation and inventory systems.
- Manage device lifecycle and license renewals.
- Design and deploy Azure networking solutions (e.g., VNet, NSG).
- Collaborate with cloud engineering teams to integrate on-prem and cloud networks.
- Monitor and optimize cloud network performance and security.
- Lead and contribute to network upgrades, migrations, and acquisitions.
- Align network solutions with business needs and project goals.
- Work with Cybersecurity, Cloud, Service Desk, and Enterprise Architecture teams.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior staff and service desk teams.
- Act as the escalation point for unresolved network issues.
- Collaborate with vendors and maintain runbooks and knowledge base articles.
Who are we looking for?
- Minimum 5 years of experience supporting enterprise network infrastructure.
- Post-secondary education in technology from an accredited institution.
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or Azure Network Engineer Associate (assets).
- Strong expertise in routers, switches, firewalls, wireless networking, and cloud integration (Azure).
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs, and routing protocols.
- Experience with Ruckus One, Strata Cloud Manager, and Palo Alto technologies.
- Skilled in network monitoring tools and ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow).
- Strong documentation, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Cybersecurity awareness and familiarity with compliance frameworks.
- Ability to resolve complex network issues and align solutions with business goals.
- Experience with disaster recovery planning and backup solutions.
