The Opportunity

This position works out of our Pleasanton, CA location in the Heart Failure Division. In Abbott’s Heart Failure (HF) business, we’re developing solutions to diagnose, monitor and manage heart failure, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives.

Join our team and help develop a modern Software as a Service (SaaS) Worldwide platform that supports clinicians, clinics, patients globally. You’ll work on a large-scale Cloud-native system contributing to the health and well-being of people living with Heart Failure.

What You’ll Work On

  • Build and maintain responsive web applications using Angular, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
  • Develop frontend components that integrate backend services and RESTful APIs
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers and backend engineers to deliver seamless user experiences
  • Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices
  • Participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and code reviews
  • Optimize application performance and ensure accessibility and cross-browser compatibility
  • Contribute to documentation and design discussions
  • Apply knowledge from academic projects and coursework to solve real-world problems

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Completed relevant coursework such as:
    • Web/ Full Stack Development
    • Data Structures and Algorithms
    • Software Engineering
    • Database Systems
    • Hands-on experience with Angular/React through college projects or internships
    • Strong understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript and core web technologies
    • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integrating frontend applications with backend services
    • Eagerness to learn and grow as a software engineer
    • Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly
    • Basic understanding of version control systems like Git/Github/Bitbucket
    • Exposure to testing frameworks like Jasmine, Karma, or Cypress
    • Familiarity with accessibility standards and responsive design
    • Understanding of agile development practices

    The base pay for this position is $79,500.00 – $138,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
