Key Responsibilities
Design Leadership
- Own design strategy and delivery across multiple accounts or product lines; define north-star experiences and phased roadmaps
- Translate business goals and constraints into clear design objectives, success metrics (e.g., task success, adoption), and measurable outcomes
- Facilitate executive workshops (vision, prioritization, journey mapping) and synthesize insights into actionable program plans
- Partner with product and engineering to define OKRs, shape backlogs, and de-risk delivery through iterative experimentation
Design Execution
- Lead complex, multi-surface experiences (web, mobile, enterprise) including AI-assisted workflows, human-in-the-loop controls, and explainable UI patterns
- Drive storytelling with data: advanced dashboards, decision-support interfaces, and scalable visualization patterns
- Establish experimentation frameworks (prototypes, A/B tests, usability studies) and integrate findings into iterative releases
- Raise the craft bar through detailed specs, interaction models, content patterns, and accessibility-by-default practices (WCAG 2.2 AA)
Design Systems & Governance
- Evolve and govern design systems with tokens, accessibility standards, versioning, and contribution models across teams
- Implement quality gates (design reviews, heuristics, accessibility checks) and define definition-of-ready/done for design
- Create measurement frameworks for design impact (SUS, NPS, CSAT, time-on-task) and promote data-informed decision making
Team Mentorship & Collaboration
- Lead and coach a pod of designers (junior to senior); provide career guidance, goal setting, and growth plans
- Partner closely with tech leads to ensure feasibility, performance, and visual fidelity in implementation
- Support hiring, onboarding, and upskilling; run critique rituals, design ops practices, and knowledge-sharing forums
- Bridge design and development with detailed specs, redlines, assets, and implementation walkthroughs; support UAT and release readiness
Required Qualifications
Professional Experience
- 4+ years of experience in UI/UX/product design with a portfolio showcasing multi-platform, data-intensive, and enterprise-grade work
- Demonstrated leadership across multi-squad programs and experience mentoring designers to deliver at high quality
- Hands-on experience designing AI interfaces, decision-support tools, and service-based platforms with measurable business outcomes
- Formal education in Design (Interaction Design, UI/UX, Information Design, or related field) or equivalent demonstrated expertise
Tools & Primary Skills
- Expert in Figma and FigJam; proficiency with advanced prototyping tools and design system methodologies (tokens, components, governance)
- Proven ability to implement Design Thinking methods—planning and facilitating discovery, ideation, and co-creation workshops with diverse stakeholders
- Strong command of responsive design, information architecture, and data visualization patterns
- Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and design-to-dev workflows; understanding of accessibility and performance implications
Other Skills
- Exceptional storytelling, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills (incl. executive-facing presentations)
- Comfort with agile delivery, OKRs, and experimentation; ability to connect design decisions to business KPIs
- Degree in Information Design, Visual Communication, Human-Centered Design, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
