Senior Technical Project Manager

We are seeking a Technical Senior Project Manager to lead complex operational technology (OT) projects within the manufacturing sector. This role requires a deep understanding of production environments, strong project management expertise, and the ability to provide technical leadership.

The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in manufacturing, with hands-on expertise in OT systems, frameworks, and standards.

This position is key to bridging the gap between business needs and technical execution, ensuring the delivery of high-impact solutions in factory and production environments.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Industrial Automation, or a related field. A Master’s degree in a relevant discipline is a plus.

Experience:

• 10+ years of experience in the manufacturing/production industry, focusing on operational technology (OT).
• Proven track record of managing and delivering OT projects, including system integrations and deployments in manufacturing environments.

Technical Expertise:

• Strong knowledge of OT frameworks (e.g., ISA-95, ISA-99) and standards (e.g., IEC 62443).
• Hands-on experience with PLC programming, SCADA systems, industrial networks, and related technologies.
• Familiarity with industrial IoT (IIoT), Industry 4.0 concepts, and edge computing is an advantage.

Project Management Skills:

• Certified in PMP or Scrum Master (or equivalent certifications).
• Proven expertise in managing full project lifecycles, including planning, budgeting, execution, and delivery.
• Experience in working with cross-functional teams and managing vendor/third-party relationships.

Leadership and Communication:

• Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience guiding technical teams and stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Fluent in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.

Problem-Solving Skills:

• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical and operational issues efficiently in a production environment.

Certifications and Training:

• Preferred certifications or training in OT security, industrial automation, or related fields.

Job Description:

Project Management:

• Lead and manage OT-related projects, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and timelines.
• Develop detailed project plans and manage risks, resources, and deliverables.
• Act as the main point of contact between business units, IT/OT teams, and external vendors.

Technical Leadership:

• Provide technical direction for OT architecture, system integration, and deployment.
• Ensure that OT solutions align with industry best practices, standards, and security requirements.
• Oversee the design and implementation of PLC, SCADA, and other OT systems.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:

• Work closely with manufacturing teams to understand operational challenges and translate them into technical solutions.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure seamless integration of OT systems into broader IT infrastructure.

Continuous Improvement:

• Identify opportunities to enhance manufacturing processes through technology and automation.
• Stay updated on emerging trends in OT, Industry 4.0, and smart factory solutions.

Mentorship and Team Leadership:

• Mentor and guide technical team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
• Ensure team adherence to OT standards, protocols, and methodologies.

Compliance and Security:

• Implement and enforce compliance with OT security frameworks and standards (e.g., IEC 62443).
• Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks to OT systems.
