The Cyber Security Graduate Intern will have a rare and exciting opportunity to be part of an experienced Cyber Team in the Higher Education sector. A chance to build strong foundations by gaining exposure to a wide variety of Cyber Security Principles.

The successful candidate will deliver real value by being directly involved in our security function gaining real world experience and exposure to a complex University environment, a chance to put the theoretical knowledge learned in their respective degree to practice.

We're seeking an enthusiastic candidate eager to learn and contribute to significant cyber improvements and routine security administration. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and embody the University's values.

We value a fresh perspective, so you'll be encouraged to ask questions, challenge existing practices, and suggest innovative ideas to continually improve the University's security function.

Reporting to the Head of Cyber Security, the graduate intern will report to the Head of Cyber Security and play a key role in supporting our team's daily activities. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to assist in continually evolving our Cyber Security Service, helping to protect the University against ever-present cyber threats. You'll get hands-on experience with a broad range of cyber security activities, focusing on improving the University's security posture and helping us maintain strong technical and procedural controls.

You'll be assisting the Cyber Security Team in providing cyber security guidance across the organisation, from customer support, tactical recommendations, ensuring a common understanding and approach to cyber security. Also working collaboratively with university colleagues to influence positive behaviours, whilst enabling the the University and protecting it from an ever-evolving Cyber threat.
