Generative AI Specialist – GitHub Copilot (Data & Analytics Focus)

Role Overview

We are looking for 1–2 expert-level professionals with hands-on experience using GitHub Copilot specifically in the Data & Analytics (D&A) domain. The objective is to help define, design, and implement real-world use cases to drive adoption of Copilot across data engineering and analytics teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and build practical GitHub Copilot use cases in data engineering, data pipelines, data analysis, and data quality (DQ) improvement.
• Drive the adoption strategy of GitHub Copilot within the Data & Analytics teams.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to demonstrate productivity and efficiency improvements through AI-assisted development.
• Create best practices, frameworks, and accelerator kits for Copilot usage in D&A workflows.
• Guide teams on prompt engineering and automation using Copilot.
• Share insights from prior implementations or success stories from TCS (preferred).

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with GitHub Copilot in Data & Analytics workflows
• Familiarity with use cases in: data pipeline development, data analysis & SQL generation, DQ improvement
• Experience working in Data Engineering or Analytics transformation projects
• Strong communication skills — able to educate, influence, and drive AI adoption
• Experience with Copilot frameworks is a strong plus
