Data Scientist - Freelancer project

We are currently hiring a Data Scientist for an energy project within Den Bosche.

The successful applicant will work in a business facing capacity to support customer behaviour modelling and profiling. The long term aim of this is to improve forecasting ability both on the short and long term with further business initiatives to be launched from this.

Role: Data Scientist

Start Date: January 3rd

Duration: 6 months initial contract (likely extension)

Rate: Discussed on call

Languages: Fluent in English & Dutch

Work location: 1-2 days per week in Den Bosche

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience in data science or machine learning, with strong ability to lead technical projects and mentor junior team members
• Advanced proficiency in Python (or R) and common data science libraries (e.g. pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch, or TensorFlow)
• Demonstrated expertise in forecasting, time-series modelling, and back-casting for daily and long-term business insights
• Strong background in customer behavior analysis, segmentation, and profiling using statistical and predictive modelling techniques
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex analytical outputs into actionable recommendations for business and operational teams
