About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and proactive IT Security Manager to lead and manage the organization’s cybersecurity initiatives in Switzerland. In this role, you will be responsible for safeguarding IT systems, networks, and data, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and mitigating security risks.
The ideal candidate combines technical expertise, strategic thinking, and leadership skills to implement effective security measures and foster a security-aware culture.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and maintain information security policies, procedures, and standards.
- Manage the IT security team and oversee day-to-day security operations.
- Conduct regular risk assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests.
- Monitor and respond to security incidents, breaches, and threats.
- Collaborate with IT, legal, and compliance teams to ensure regulatory compliance (ISO 27001, GDPR, FINMA, etc.).
- Design and implement security architecture and infrastructure, including firewalls, VPNs, endpoint protection, and identity management.
- Lead security awareness training and promote a culture of cybersecurity across the organization.
- Stay updated on emerging threats, technologies, and industry best practices.
- Prepare and present reports on security status, risks, and mitigation plans to senior management.
- Manage relationships with external vendors, auditors, and regulatory authorities regarding security compliance.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or related field.
- 5–8 years of experience in IT security, cybersecurity management, or risk management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of network security, application security, cloud security, and endpoint protection.
- Experience with security frameworks and standards (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS, GDPR, FINMA).
- Proficiency in security monitoring tools, SIEM, vulnerability management, and incident response.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent leadership, team management, and stakeholder communication skills.
- Relevant certifications are highly desirable: CISSP, CISM, CISA, CEH, or ISO 27001 Lead Implementer.
- Fluent in English; German and/or French is an advantage.
