Network Support Engineer - Nijverdal

Your work will alternate between the Nijverdal office and client sites, handling network issues, implementing upgrades, and contributing to projects in routing, switching, WiFi, and security.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of troubleshooting and resolving network issues across LAN, WAN, WiFi, and firewall systems.
• Be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining routers, switches, and firewalls, including Cisco, Aruba, Juniper, and Fortinet.
• Play a key role in executing maintenance, patching, and network performance monitoring, identifying risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Contribute to customer implementation projects, with around 20% office preparation and 80% onsite execution, while providing technical input and documentation.
• Collaborate with NOC, SOC, service desk, and field teams to ensure seamless service delivery and a positive team environment.

Required Skills & Experience

• MBO+ or HBO level with strong networking knowledge.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco, Aruba, or Juniper; CCNA preferred or willing to obtain within 12 months.
• Solid understanding of routing, switching, WiFi, and firewalls.
• Structured, customer-focused, and solution-oriented with strong Dutch and English communication.
• Flexible for occasional evenings/weekends and travel within 1–2 hours of Nijverdal
