Major Duties And Responsibilities
- Collaborate with other IT section personnel to resolve issues and ensure solutions are viable.
- Identify options for potential solutions to IT issues and assess them for both technical and business suitability.
- Conduct regular reviews of IT systems and generate reports on efficiencies and improvement areas.
- Identify the organisational need for new applications and prepare technical specifications as a roadmap for software development.
- Evaluate, test and recommend new opportunities for enhancing company software, hardware and IT processes.
- Submit reports to the relevant department heads and senior management when necessary.
- Provide instructions and training to staff when necessary.
- Attend regular internal and external meetings to provide updates on the progress of IT tasks and to present to users the application solutions being proposed.
- Keep system stakeholders informed on issues and progress.
- Design KPI dashboards and other web related reports.
- Assist in preparing specifications and user requirements. Encode, test, debug and document programs for relatively straightforward or small projects.
- Ensure all IT property is maintained in a serviceable condition, routinely inventoried and safeguarded.
- Maintain the confidentiality and security of all company information.
- Support other members of the IT section in fulfilling their roles.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, housekeeping and environmental directives.
-  Perform other duties as required by their line manager and the Manager, IT and Digitalisation.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or a related discipline required. Master's degree preferred, or Equivalent years of Experiences in same field
- A minimum of four to five years of experience in an IT Applications role is required.
- Certifications in SAP, IBM, MAXIMO, Microsoft and/or Oracle are an advantage.
- The ability to implement best practise standards, and maintain the network applications and security is preferred.
- Knowledge of LANs, WANs, VOIP and telecommunications is required.
- The ability to work analytically and independently, as well as with a team is preferred
-  Have, or be able to obtain a valid UAE driver’s license.
