Position Summary

We’re building a team of creative technologists to design cinematic, interactive data interfaces for strategic clients. As an Immersive UI / Data Visualisation Artist, you’ll take complex datasets and transform them into visually compelling, real-time, interactive experiences, reminiscent of sci-fi HUDs like Iron Man and Tron.

This role is perfect for highly creative, visually-oriented professionals who enjoy crafting stunning graphics and motion experiences, while applying front-end development skills to bring designs to life in-browser. You’ll work in small, collaborative teams alongside data engineers and software developers to create interfaces that are not only beautiful, but also functional and interactive.

Primary Duties / Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers and data scientists to understand datasets, technical requirements, and client objectives.
• Design, prototype, and implement interactive, cinematic UI/UX experiences for web-based applications.
• Create motion graphics, 2D/3D visual effects, and animated UI components that communicate complex data intuitively.
• Optionally implement interactivity using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript; leverage Three.js or other WebGL/OpenGL technologies where applicable.
• Ensure visual designs are optimised and production-ready in web environments.
• Experiment with new visual techniques, animations, and interface paradigms to push the boundaries of data storytelling.
• Maintain a consistent and immersive visual style across applications.
• Document visual best practices and contribute to internal knowledge sharing.

Qualifications and Requirements

Technical Expertise:

• Strong proficiency in motion graphics, 2D/3D animation, and cinematic design.
• Skilled with tools like After Effects, Blender, Cinema 4D, or equivalent.
• Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience with Three.js or other browser-based 3D/OpenGL frameworks is a bonus.
• Familiarity with React is a bonus; 3D modelling skills are a cherry on top.

Creative & Design Skills:

• Exceptional visual storytelling and cinematic interface design.
• Strong sense of composition, colour, lighting, and motion.
• Portfolio demonstrating futuristic, immersive, or interactive UI/graphics projects.

Soft Skills:

• Excellent collaboration skills to work with engineers, data scientists, and product teams.
• Creative problem-solving mindset, comfortable iterating on designs rapidly.
• Ability to translate complex data into intuitive, visually striking experiences.

Bonus / Nice-to-Have:

• Experience with shader programming or advanced visual effects.
• Exposure to AR/VR/XR or game engines such as Unity or Unreal.

Requirements (Education, Certification, Training, and Experience)

• At least 3 years of professional experience in motion graphics, interactive design, or a related field.
• Up-to-date knowledge of emerging UI, visualisation, and interactive design trends.
• Direct experience creating interactive data-driven visualisations or cinematic UI is highly desirable.
• Passion for pushing the boundaries of visual storytelling in digital interfaces.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on innovative, client-facing solutions.
