We are seeking an experienced Mobile App Developer to lead the migration of a simple but critical mobile application from Xamarin to .NET MAUI. The ideal candidate has a strong background in cross-platform development with Xamarin and C#, and is excited to work with the latest .NET MAUI framework. You will be responsible for the full migration lifecycle, from planning and conversion to testing and deployment on both iOS and Android platforms.

Key responsibilities:

• Migrate an existing Xamarin.Forms application to a single-project .NET MAUI structure, ensuring functionality is retained.
• Refactor existing code to address API changes, update namespaces, and ensure compatibility with .NET MAUI conventions.
• Replace or update any third-party NuGet packages that are incompatible with .NET MAUI.
• Implement and update user interfaces (UI) adapting to .NET MAUI's control and layout system.
• Port any custom renderers or platform-specific code to .NET MAUI Handlers, or update using platform-specific folders.
• Integrate RESTful APIs for backend services and ensure reliable data exchange.
• Perform thorough testing on target platforms (iOS and Android) to ensure feature parity, performance, and stability.
• Work collaboratively with the product team to ensure the final application meets business requirements.
• Document all changes and enhancements made during the migration process.

Required skills and qualifications:

• Proven experience in cross-platform mobile application development using Xamarin.Forms.
• Strong proficiency in C# and the .NET ecosystem.
• Hands-on experience with .NET MAUI, including migrating applications.
• Solid understanding of mobile architecture patterns, particularly Model-View-ViewModel (MVVM).
• Familiarity with consuming RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming.
• Proficiency with version control, specifically Git.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with the .NET Upgrade Assistant tool.
• Knowledge of the mobile app deployment process for Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for mobile applications.
• Experience with database technologies like Entity Framework.
