Job Summary:
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Customer Segments, the Manager, Customer Segments is responsible for leading the development and execution of initiatives that drive accelerated growth within the Newcomers to Canada segment.
The Customer Segments team focuses on defining, developing, and executing cross-functional, customer-centric strategies that drive personal banking acquisition and strengthen long-term customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop Segment Value Propositions: Create compelling customer value propositions tailored to the Newcomer segment, balancing customer needs, competitive dynamics, and profitability.
- Market & Competitor Analysis: Continuously monitor competitor programs to assess positioning, pricing, strengths, and opportunities.
- Partnership Development: Identify and develop strategic partnerships that add value for Newcomer clients and support portfolio growth.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with teams across Marketing, Analytics, Customer Care, and Sales to analyze business and customer data, identify key performance drivers, and develop strategies that enhance acquisition, conversion, and retention.
- Project Leadership: Lead the execution of key projects and initiatives aimed at growing the Newcomer customer base and improving their onboarding experience.
- Customer Insights: Translate analytics and research into actionable customer insights and business recommendations.
- Event & Sponsorship Management: Manage end-to-end execution of sponsorships and events focused on Newcomers, collaborating closely with internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Performance Monitoring: Track and forecast performance of key tactics, report on outcomes, and advocate for resource prioritization where needed.
- Communication & Marketing Support: Work with marketing partners to develop communication materials and assets that strengthen engagement and deepen relationships with customers.
- Innovation & Strategy: Continuously evolve the segment strategy by identifying emerging trends, testing new ideas, and implementing innovative engagement models.
- Stakeholder Reporting: Communicate strategy, performance, and insights effectively to senior stakeholders and leadership teams.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required:
- 5–7 years of relevant experience in strategy, consulting, or product management within financial services or customer-focused industries.
- Proven experience developing and executing customer strategies and value propositions involving cross-functional collaboration.
- Strong understanding of customer segmentation, market intelligence, and competitive analysis.
- Advanced analytical and quantitative abilities with experience turning data into strategic recommendations.
- Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills with the ability to lead diverse teams and drive alignment.
- Master’s degree required; MBA preferred.
