Senior Data Governance Engineer (European National)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Data Governance Lead with deep expertise in designing, implementing, and managing enterprise-wide Data Governance frameworks and platforms. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in data governance, including at least 3 years of hands-on implementation experience with leading governance tools such as Informatica, Collibra, Alation, Atlan, or Select Star. Candidates with Informatica Cloud implementation experience will be given preference.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and enhancement of enterprise-wide Data Governance platforms.
• Develop and maintain Data Governance frameworks, policies, and standards to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
• Establish and manage core modules including Data Catalog, Data Quality, and Data Lineage.
• Partner with data owners, stewards, and technical teams to define data ownership, accountability, and stewardship processes.
• Drive adoption of data governance tools across the organization and support training and awareness initiatives.
• Define and monitor key data quality metrics and ensure adherence to governance best practices.
• Collaborate with business and technology teams to align governance objectives with enterprise data strategy.

Qualifications & Experience

• 10+ years of total experience, with at least 3+ years specializing in enterprise Data Governance platform implementation.
• Proven hands-on experience with one or more platforms: Informatica, Collibra, Alation, Atlan, or Select Star.
• Bonus points for Informatica Cloud implementation experience.
• Strong understanding of Data Catalog, Data Lineage, and Data Quality modules.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics).
• Prior experience working within the Asset Management or Investment Banking domain is highly preferred.
