Senior Software Engineer / Staff Software Engineer – Python & AI
Hybrid – London (flexible remote) | £100–£130k + meaningful equity

You’ll join a small, proven startup that’s already generating revenue and now moving fast. The product is live and being used today - and the next stage is scaling it into a market-defining platform, powered by agentic AI.
AI isn’t a bolt-on here. It is the product.
This role is for someone who wants to stay hands-on. Someone who gets satisfaction from writing great code, solving hard problems, and seeing their work go straight into production and into customers’ hands.
What You’ll Do
- Build and scale production-grade systems that automate real-world workflows using agentic AI.
- Work across Python, FastAPI, PostgreSQL and AWS to ship impactful features quickly.
- Experiment, iterate and push new AI capabilities into the product — weekly, not quarterly.
- Collaborate closely with the founders to shape product direction.
- Set a high bar for code quality, reliability and delivery pace.
- Be a core part of the early engineering team — someone the founders trust to own meaningful pieces of the platform.
What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience shipping AI-driven systems into production — whether that’s agentic workflows, orchestration, retrieval, fine-tuning, or similar.
- Strong Python fundamentals (FastAPI preferred).
- Solid experience with AWS (Lambda, RDS, S3, Bedrock or similar).
- Comfort working in fast-moving environments where ownership and initiative matter.
- A practical mindset: you’re motivated by solving real problems, not theory.
Nice to have
- LangChain or similar frameworks.
- Experience in workflow automation, data-centric systems or payments.
- Exposure to 0→1 or early-stage startup environments.
