Job Description:

CayPlay Studios is looking for a talented Senior Unity Developer to join our team working on WaterPark Simulator, a humorous tycoon-style first-person simulator currently in Steam Early Access. We’re looking for someone who can dive into our existing systems, build new features, and help shape our future titles.

This is a long-term role for a proactive developer who thrives in collaborative environments but can also take initiative and work independently. You’ll be working directly with our core team across art, design, and production to help make our games more fun, polished, and performant.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop new gameplay features and systems without unnecessary complexity

• Review, understand, and improve existing codebases

• Handle light art-related implementation (prefabs, materials, shaders, etc.)

• Collaborate closely with artists and designers to refine gameplay feel

• Write multiplayer code using Unity NGO (Netcode for GameObjects)

• Optimize and refactor systems to ensure high performance across platforms

Required Experience:

• 7+ years of professional Unity and C# experience

• Experience contributing to shipped commercial games

• Strong understanding of optimization, physics, and Unity architecture

• Proactive mindset and ability to work without micromanagement

• Comfortable working with and improving other developers’ code

• Based roughly in the European time zone

Bonus Skills:

• Proven multiplayer experience (especially with Unity NGO or Mirror)

• Experience with simulator or tycoon-style games

• Familiarity with Unity Addressables, ECS, or console porting

• Game jam experience or indie dev background

Additional Details:

Contract Type: Full-time, long-term engagement

Start Date: Flexible, but ideally as soon as possible

Work Environment: 100% remote, highly collaborative international team

If you’re an experienced Unity developer who wants to help build creative, viral, and community-driven games, we’d love to hear from you.
