Senior L2/L3 Networking Engineer
Location: remote from Brazil (local shift times, 8-4, UTC -11 -7pm)
Flexibility is essential for weekend availability and shift adjustments.
Duration: 10+ months, with potential permanent hire based on performance.
Role Overview
We are seeking highly skilled Senior L2/L3 Networking Engineers to support both legacy and next-generation network infrastructures. This role demands a strong foundation in Cisco networking, complemented by expertise in third-party technologies such as F5, Fortinet, and Zscaler. Candidates must be capable of operating independently in high-pressure environments and contributing to both engineering and operational support.
Key Responsibilities
- Network Support & Transition:
- Bridge the operational gap between legacy and new bank networks, ensuring seamless support and transition.
Technical Expertise:
- Must be capable of being the technical lead during a major incident.
- Deliver deep and broad networking knowledge, with hands-on experience in:
- Cisco (BGP, OSPF, LAN/WAN)
- F5 (LTM, GTM, DNS configuration and troubleshooting)
- Fortinet
- Zscaler
Operational Engagement:
- Operate within the Network Operations Centre (NOC), providing incident response and technical fixes during major events.
- Collaboration & Screening:
- Participate in cultural and technical assessments led by client, followed by review from principal architects.
- Shift Coverage & Flexibility:
- Ensure 24/7 coverage across global regions (US, APAC) with flexibility for split shifts and weekend work.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 10+ years of experience as a Subject Matter Expert in networking and vendor technologies.
- Proven ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Strong English communication and troubleshooting skills.
