Cyber Security Consultant

About the Role:

We are looking for a skilled NIS2 Security & Compliance Specialist to support a major NIS2 compliance program at one of our clients, a leading Belgian telecom company. You will work on the implementation and validation of security controls, perform risk analyses, and assist with audits, ensuring cybersecurity compliance across critical IT and telecom infrastructures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and validate NIS2 security controls across SDWAN, MPLS, IoT, and product APIs.
• Perform risk and gap analyses, document findings, and propose improvement actions.
• Support audits and compliance reporting (NIS2, ISO27001).
• Collaborate with domain architects, service owners, and security SPOCs.
• Document technical solutions and provide awareness/training to teams.
• Escalate deviations or non-compliance issues promptly.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity and compliance frameworks (NIS2, ISO27001).
• Experience with technical validation and project development in telecom/IT environments.
• Excellent analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Team player with effective communication skills in English and French; with good knowledge of Dutch
