Project Manager
Our client is a long-established, Irish-owned business operating across the manufacturing, wholesale and retail sectors.
We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the organisation on a 2-year fixed-term contract, reporting directly to the Managing Director, responsible for leading a portfolio of strategic projects that will directly support the company’s growth and transformation agenda.
The Project Manager will bring structure, consistency and focus to how projects are defined, planned and delivered across the business. The successful candidate will also play a key role in introducing a fit-for-purpose project management framework and embedding it as part of the company’s long-term way of working.
- Location: Celbridge, Co. Kildare (Hybrid)
- Contract: 2-Year Fixed Term Contract
- Salary: €60,000 – €75,000 DOE + Benefits
- Sector: Manufacturing | Wholesale | Retail
- Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm
Key Responsibilities:
Project Delivery & Coordination
- Lead the planning, execution and delivery of strategic projects aligned with company priorities.
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, milestones and dependencies.
- Work closely with project sponsors, leads and cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery.
- Track progress, budgets and resource allocation, proactively managing risks and issues.
- Provide regular project updates to the Senior Leadership Team.
- Drive a structured, proactive and solution-oriented project management culture.
Framework & Governance
- Design and implement a project management framework tailored to the company’s size and culture.
- Develop templates, processes and reporting standards to ensure governance and consistency.
- Coach and support team members in applying project management best practices.
- Capture lessons learned and promote continuous improvement.
- Introduce and maintain project management tools or systems (e.g. MS Project, Smartsheet, Asana).
Efficiency & Resource Management
- Manage budgets, timelines and resources responsibly.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and streamline processes.
- Engage and oversee external partners or vendors when required.
Experience & Qualifications:
- 3–5 years’ experience in a project management role.
- Previous experience in project management within a manufacturing, FMCG or retail environment is advantageous.
- Proven ability to deliver multiple projects on-time, within budget and to a high standard.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools (PRINCE2, PMP, Agile, etc.).
- Experience working with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
- Project management certification desirable, but not essential.
