Position overview

As a Mid PHP Developer at Athera Technologies, you will play a crucial role in developing, maintaining, and enhancing our web applications. Your primary focus will be on backend development using PHP, with emphasis on database management using MariaDB.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web applications using PHP primarily focusing on the Symfony framework;
• Design, implement, and maintain databases and technical solutions;
• Write clean, testable, and efficient code, adhering to best practices and coding standards;
• Develop and maintain automated tests (unit, integration, and functional tests) to ensure the reliability and robustness of applications;
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic;
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of our development processes;
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather and refine requirements;
• Create and maintenance technical documentation.

Requirements

• Software development experience 3+ years with emphasis on PHP (Symfony, Laravel etc.) and relational databases;
• Proficiency in writing testable code and developing automated tests using frameworks like PHPUnit;
• Hands on with Docker, GitLab, Bitbucket RabbitMQ, Redis or similar technologies and tools;
• Communication skills in Lithuanian and English language, both verbal and non-verbal (at least B2 level).

Nice to have

• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends;
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field;
• Understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React);
• Knowledge about Nginx, Test Driven Development (TDD).

For this position, the salary range is 3500 - 5000 EUR bruto monthly. Preferable Kaunas, but we are offering a hybrid work module.
