Purpose of the Role
Our customer is undertaking a major transformation initiative to define, standardize, and deploy a new Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodology across all IT units. This initiative aims to strengthen their software delivery practices, enhance governance, and improve agility and collaboration across development, testing, and operations teams.
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager and/or Methodologist with a deep understanding of software engineering practices, SDLC frameworks, and Agile methodologies. The successful candidate will lead the design, implementation, and rollout of the new SDLC, ensuring alignment with the customer’s strategic, regulatory, and operational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and define the new SDLC framework tailored to the customer's environment, integrating best practices from Agile, DevOps, and traditional models.
- Coordinate and lead the implementation of the new methodology across IT departments (development, QA, architecture, infrastructure, etc.).
- Engage with stakeholders (IT management, IT heads, project managers, developers, and business analysts) to ensure buy-in, alignment, and adoption.
- Establish supporting processes and governance, including documentation standards, tools, templates, and KPIs.
- Plan and manage change activities, including communication, awareness sessions, and training for teams.
- Monitor progress and report on key milestones, risks, and issues to project sponsors.
- Continuously assess and improve the methodology post-deployment based on feedback and performance outcomes.
Profile and Experience
- Education & Background:Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in software development or IT project management, with at least 3 years in methodology definition, process improvement, or SDLC transformation.
- Technical Expertise:Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and DevOps principles.
- Experience with traditional and hybrid SDLC models (Waterfall, V-model, etc.).
- Familiarity with software engineering tools (Jira, Confluence, CI/CD pipelines, etc.).
- Soft Skills:Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong diplomacy and influencing abilities, capable of fostering collaboration and managing resistance to change.
- Structured, analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Fluent in English (French is a plus).
