As a developer within the Bezoek Schip team, you will design, build, test, and deliver software that enables the seamless coordination of vessel calls in Dutch ports. Our digital services connect shipping agents, terminals, and port authorities, ensuring that all critical information flows securely and efficiently.
You will take ownership of frontend solutions while also contributing to backend development, like shaping APIs, ensuring data quality, and delivering reliable full-stack functionality. You are a Full Stack Developer who values well-structured, maintainable code and a high-quality user experience. You know Angular and TypeScript thoroughly, and you’re curious to explore technologies such as Kotlin, Terraform, and AWS.
A key focus area for the team is the implementation of the European Maritime Single Window environment (EMSWe), a major European initiative that harmonizes how maritime data is shared between member states. You will play a pivotal role in integrating Portbase systems with this new standard, contributing to the future of digital port operations.
Whether or not you already have experience in the logistics or maritime domain, what matters most is your curiosity, technical craftsmanship, and drive to build software that makes a real difference in the logistics chain.
Requirements
We’re looking for you if you can enrich our team with:
- Your bachelor’s or master’s degree (or equivalent working experience)
- You are currently residing in the Netherlands
- Your experience in building and maintaining modern front-end applications using Angular and/or TypeScript
- Your interest in or experience with back-end development, preferably using Kotlin, Java, or event-driven architectures
- You’re comfortable working with tools like AWS, Terraform, and Docker, or you’re eager to learn them
- A modern office within walking distance of Station Blaak and De Markthal
- Performance management that puts you in control of your growth – we facilitate, you lead
- Ample room for creativity, innovation, and personal initiatives – regardless of tenure
- A collaborative and value-driven culture – we work together toward a shared goal: delivering value to the logistics community
- 26 vacation days, with the option to purchase additional days
- Excellent tools and employment conditions, including a laptop, phone, travel expense reimbursement, and a solid pension scheme
- A competitive annual salary, including a 13th month bonus
