We are looking for an enthusiastic Software Engineer to join our team in Lisbon, where you will gain hands-on experience in space systems simulation and work alongside experienced engineers on a flagship ESA/NASA program.

WHAT CHALLENGE WILL YOU BE TAKING ON?

In our team you will undertake the below tasks:

• Assist in the development of simulation models .
• Support integration and testing of ESA component in through High Level Architecture (HLA).
• Contribute to test automation, validation campaigns and deployment.
• Learn to work with HLA/RTI, containerized environments, and ESA-standard tools.
• Document code, test results, and participate in technical reviews.
  
  

WHAT DO WE NEED IN OUR TEAM?

We are looking for an experienced candidate with the following:-

• BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field
• Solid experience developing in C++ in Linux environment
• Interest in simulation frameworks and distributed systems.
• Motivation to learn space mission standards.
• Team spirit and willingness to work in international, multidisciplinary teams.
  
  

We will also value previous experience, and knowledge in:

• SIMULUS infrastructure
• Space standards (ECSS, HLA, SMP)
• Model-based engineering (MagicDraw, Enterprise Architect, UMF).
• AOCS/GNC concepts
• DevOps skills, familiarity with Docker and CI/CD pipelines
• NS-3/OPSNET
• Agile methodology
• Exposure to space engineering projects (university CubeSat, ESA Academy, or internship experience).
