About the role

Are you passionate about shaping the institutional crypto ecosystem and building the future market infrastructure?

Do you have a strong vision for how institutional services such as, off-exchange settlement, stablecoin minting / burning infrastructure, lending and by extension liquidity management will evolve across market makers, hedge funds, brokers, and banks? Are you ready to take ownership of defining and executing this strategy within a regulated banking environment?

At Strategic Product Initiatives, we drive the development of new products and partnerships that form the backbone of the institutional crypto ecosystem. Our focus areas include off-exchange custody, settlement networks, and stablecoin infrastructure. We connect key institutional market players with each other through Sygnum complete suite of institutional products

We are looking for a Senior Strategic Project Manager, who brings a deep understanding of the crypto markets and ecosystem dynamics. The ideal candidate has several years of experience in digital assets, understands the interplay between exchanges, custodians, lenders, and liquidity providers, and can translate this knowledge into a clear strategic roadmap.

Our ideal candidate

• Strong academic background, preferably in business, finance, economics, computer science, or a related technical field.
• Extensive experience in the institutional crypto ecosystem — ideally 5+ years in product, strategy or strategic partnership roles across key market nodes such as exchanges, market makers, custodians, stablecoin issuers or infrastructure providers.
• Deep industry network with proven relationships across institutional counterparties and a solid understanding of the market structure, liquidity flows, and regulatory landscape.
• Strategic and entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to define and execute a clear vision for institutional liquidity and infrastructure products.
• Experience working with institutional clients, such as hedge funds, brokers, custodians, and banks, and a strong ability to translate their needs into product and business opportunities.
• Prior experience in consulting or strategy (e.g., management consulting, internal strategy, or venture build environment) is an advantage but not a must — we value hands-on builders who can move from concept to delivery.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, comfortable engaging with senior executives, clients, and partners at eye level
• Fluent in English, with exceptional communication skills to clearly convey complex ideas. German is a plus
